Jessie is a seasoned strategist who has been growing startups, technology companies and small businesses since 2010. Currently, she is the Senior Content Strategist at a Philadelphia-based marketing agency, where she oversees content and brand strategy for both the marketing and web development teams, helping clients craft compelling narratives and drive measurable growth.

After getting her start in tech at the YouTube founders’ startup, AVOS, where she worked her way up to Marketing Manager (and got to work on that classic Web 1.0 site Delicious.com!). From there, she spent the 2010s as a growth consultant and writer for dozens of startups, including running content for Unbabel and Parakeet and writing on productivity for Asana and FoundrMag.

Prior to joining a marketing agency, she worked for a YC AI startup running recruiting messaging strategy for big tech clients like Cruise, Medium, and Grammarly, tripling the company’s core performance KPI and establishing a new gold standard for client response rates. In 2019, she was an Ingenius at The Glass Room, an exhibition exploring data and privacy presented by Firefox and the nonprofit Tactical Tech, where she facilitated workshops for the public about how to protect your privacy online.

Jessie has a B.A in Literature and Creative Writing from Westminster University. She was born in Palo Alto, CA and has led a strange and interesting life. Her interests include data privacy, sandwiches, and electronic music. She currently lives in Philadelphia. You can contact her on LinkedIn.
